FURNISHING TEMPORALITIES / SEQUENCING SPACES (2018)
A collaboration between Marta Jarabo and Luis Amália.
Exploring the dramatic tension created between actions, objects, their boundaries and their limits.
Our proposal for _2B SPACE TO BE is focused in two different but complementary concepts, two obsessions or research lines. This exhibition allow us to introduce our previous work and generate a dialogue between us.

FURNISHING TEMPORALITIES explores a new status of architecture that relates to time. This new status is materialised in a new landscape of bodies, societal trends, technologies, geo-policies, etc.
Domestic settings, better than any other architecture reflect how this new landscape influences the processes of subject formation and placemaking. It also questions the definitions of home —as a stone-solid family unit, privacy and property.
/
SEQUENCING SPACES explores the cinematic properties of architecture. Architecture also understood as the sum of spaces, actions and routines that take place within it. Routines which have been trained, rehearsed and transmitted almost unconsciously through centuries.
Routines that have generated specific objects and pieces of furniture to help being developed and supported such a table or a spoon.
In the same way that the context delimits the architectural project, here is the architecture that delimits the mise en scène.
